Front (West side) of house.
More siding; well started (at right). |

South side.
Many packages of insulation arrived this morning.
Hard to see, but there are two taps at the bottom right side of the house
(one hot and one cold) - these were installed this morning). A hose is
attached - from the neighbour's house some 400 feet away - to test for leaks
in the plumbing. |

Well has begun (by Friesen Drilling) at the North side
of the house.
The left truck is digging a "test" hole to determine where water
might be found (they ended up at about 146 feet); the right truck is
full of supplies, and water that is running to a trough under the drilling
rig. |

|
Samples of what was coming up the drill rig were being
checked constantly.
This shows the "sand" that was found at about 125 feet - very fine. They
were hoping for courser sand.. |
|
|
A "sand filter", to be attached at the bottom of the
well pipe.
This is required due to the very, very sandy conditions (two 5 foot
sections were used to extract as much water as possible from the sand). |
|
|
The test hole is completed.
Supplies are being prepared for the placement of the piping down a 5"
wide hole. |
