I am the editor of the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps.
The 2007 edition went to the printer near the end of August 2006 and began
shipping the first week of October 2006.
I do not sell the catalogue. Please contact the publisher (Unitrade
Associates) directly or your favourite stamp dealer. I have also noticed listings on e-Bay.
Here are some highlights:
-
many new constant plate varieties have been added. Where possible, these
are illustrated in colour.
-
numerous new re-entries (particularly in the Provinces) have been added and illustrated in colour, thanks to
Ralph E. Trimble's
website.
-
to save space, stamp images from Sc # 1613 have been reduced to 80% of actual
size.
-
the introduction has been expanded to include a new condition grading chart
(courtesy Scott Publishing) and an Errors, Freaks and Oddities section
illustrating examples of perforation shifts, colour shifts, offset, paper
crease, fold-over, and repellex errors.
-
a 9-page "1977-present Definitive Stamp Identifier" section.
-
text "bleeds" at the bottom of the pages (starting with the 5c era in 1954)
identifying the common postage rates.
-
index 'bleeds' on the side margins for each Elizabethan-era definitives
(starting with the Centennials).
-
hopefully all of the errors that crept into the previous editions have been
caught and corrected!
-
the price remains the same as the previous two year's editions: CAN$42.95
Despite all of the additions, only 16 more pages were
added to the catalogue (it is now 592 pages).
