    Despite what some think, every possible effort is made to keep the number of mistakes down to a minimum. As I have said many, many times ... even the smallest of mistakes (no matter how trivial) is not acceptable. I thank those who have the time to read the catalogue from cover to cover with a magnifying glass looking for even the smallest mistake.

    All reported mistakes have been corrected for the next (2017?) edition.

    51 Stitch watermark footnote (clarification). This footnote will be changed in the next edition to read something like the following (final text to be decided):

    Stitch watermarks: technically all stamps printed from the Large Queens onward through the 1930's could possibly have stitch watermarks. At this time the editors do not have sufficient information, based on actual sales information, to list and price any other than those already in the catalogue.
