34p (17k)Penny Black Anniversary Machins
(page updated: Dec 28/03)

Five anniversary Machins (double-headed) were issued Jan 10/90 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first postage stamp, The Penny Black, issued by Great Britain in 1840.

A non-value 1st 'Penny Black' design was released in 2000 for the 160th anniversary.

Issue dates shown reflect the first release of that value. See the specialized lists for additional varieties.
